Research Intern • June 2021 - July 2021

  • Explored Federated Learning and implemented FedAvg and FedProx algorithms using Pysyft to analyze its intricacies.
  • Implemented FedAvg using the Flower Framework and demonstrated the ability to deal with a non-IID dataset of MNIST to achieve 98% accuracy
  • Implemented Federated Learning for Diabetic retinopathy detection to achieve a Kappa score of 90%.

zMed Healthcare Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Data Scientist Intern • March 2021 - May 2021

  • Ideated a deep learning model using GRU for wake word detection for use in hospitals, similar to Google Assistant and Siri.
  • Streamlined the data pipelines and automated model development process utilizing more than 4 distinct service providers.
  • Developed an automatic voice dataset generator for further development and learning, with a test accuracy of 88.3%.

Student Intern • July 2020 - March 2021

  • Spearheaded a team on the topic 'AI-based Supervised Data Generation for Reflection Removal' (NDA Signed).
  • The "Reflection Eraser" feature offered currently on 1 Millon+ Samsung phones stemmed from this work.

Notable Achievements

  • Volunteered for an academy for special needs and filed patents for software developed for the school's distinctive requirements.
  • Winners, DataHub Data science competition, conducted by the IEEE computer society, winning a cash price of Rs. 1000.
  • Ranked in the top 0.1% in Janatahack and in the top 1% in Loan prediction by Analytics Vidya.
  • Received a scholarship of Rs. 13,000 consecutively for 2 years from VIT Chennai for Academic excellence and a merit-based scholarship of Rs. 10,000 consecutively for 3 years from the Government of India during my undergraduate years.
  • Championed as Lead Technical Officer for the college Robotics Club, and successfully hosted events with more than 1000 participants.
